GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age: 23 years

  • Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement

  • Clean MVR

  • No convictions for DWI, DUI, felonies, or any other drug related offense in the past 10 years

  • DOT Physical & Drug Testing required

COMPENSATION:

 

Driver Starting Pay: Local $20.00/hr    Regional/OTR  $.45/mile    
Trip/Mileage pay package   
Stop Off Pay:  $25.00/stop off
Backhauls:     $25.00 pickup/delivery
Wait Time:  2 hours free at pickup/deliver, $14.00 per hour after the 2 hours; you must get signatures and put times on your paperwork in order to get paid.
Breakdowns:    $10.00 per hour
Layovers:   $60.00 if detained at pickup/delivery
Overnight Money: $20.00 each night out on the road; included in expense check
Expense Money:  $150.00 for tolls, parking, showers, etc.

 

All over the road drivers are required to obtain their Passport.

All drivers are required to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). 

INCENTIVES:

Driver Incentive Pay:  $150.00 for each clean DOT check.
  EGTI will reimburse the full cost of Hazmat license renewal
  $75.00 Passport fee
  ETGI will reimburse the full cost ($132.50) & 2 hours straight time for TWIC card

                                              

BENEFITS:

Holidays:  ETGI, Inc. recognizes seven paid holidays per year for full time active employees.

 

Vacation:  Full time active employees are eligible for one week vacation after one year of service and two weeks after two years of service. 

  • No vacations will be authorized during the months of October, November and December as these are our busiest months.

  • Vacation cannot be carried over to the next year; any unused vacation will be forfeited.

  • We will not "cash in" any unused vacation

  • Upon termination or resignation any unused vacation will be forfeited.

  • Vacations are approved in the order in which they are received.

  • All vacations must be scheduled in advance.  We will not pay vacation time without prior approval.  If you fail to complete and return a vacation request form, your vacation will not be approved or paid.

Pay Period and Payday: The Company issues paychecks each Friday, on a weekly basis.  Pay periods start on Sunday and end on Saturday.

 

Life Insurance:  Full time active employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment for a benefit of $15,000. ETGI will pay the full premium for all employees.

 

Health Insurance:  Full time active employees are eligible for Health Insurance coverage on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment. ETGI will pay the full premium for all employee and dependent coverage. Employees who are out of work due to injury or illness which prevents him/her form performing the essential functions of his/her job will be responsible for the full cost of their health insurance premium.  A covered employee may elect COBRA coverage is he/she loses group coverage for a reduction of hours (which causes loss of coverage). 

 

ETGI 401(K):

You must attain age 18 and complete 2 months of service.  Your plan provides that ETGI may make employer matching contribution equal to a discretionary percentage that it determines at the end of each year.

 

AFLAC:  AFLAC offers our drivers Dental Insurance, Cancer Insurance, Accident Insurance and Short-Term Disability Income Insurance.  Information on these plans is available in the office.  Enrollment for these plans will be on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment. Changes may only take place at once a year open enrollment periods.  Please see the office for all details or contact our AFLAC agent, Michael Zorn, at (973) 808-4600 ext. 107 for more details.

 

Beginning the 1st quarter of 2015, drivers will earn $500.00 employee incentive via payroll each quarter they qualify.

Employee Incentive Program for Safety and Productivity

Environmental Transport Group, Inc. has implemented an Employee Incentive Program for Safety and Productivity to achieve the following general objectives:

  • to enhance productivity and fleet efficiency;
  • to improve employee retention;
  • to identify training needs related to safety and productivity;
  • to intensify the safety and productivity of the company;

Qualifying factors –

  • Must be an active full-time employee during evaluation period
  • You must be currently employed on the day incentives are issued to be eligible. Upon termination or resignation any unpaid incentive will be fortified.
  • Determination of any and all reductions will be at Management's discretion.
  • Evaluation periods will run on a quarterly basis.
  • An incentive bonus of $500.00 will be processed quarterly via payroll.
